Mrs. Callis has taught for over 20 years and is passionate about teaching and learning. She often incorporates hands-on research into her library lessons and designs fun activities for the reading lab. Her enrichment classes are often busy in service-learning under her tutelage. Her love of reading is contagious - as evidenced by the number of students who wait on her arrival at the library every morning.  She is wife to Hunter (CCHS U.S. History teacher), mother to Colston (soccer and football player), and dog-mom of two shelter rescues (Sox and Sabrina). She attends Grace Baptist Church and tends to the library there as well.
