Torrie Hays Staff Photo

I graduated from The University of Tennessee at Martin in 2017.  I have a bachelor's degree in  K-6 Education.

This is my first year teaching.  I just recently graduated college.  Though this is my first time in my own classroom, I have spent countless hours doing observations, practicum classes, and student teaching.

My name is Mrs. Torrie Hays.  I am a fourth grade teacher at Chester County Middle School.  I love working with children and helping them reach for their goals in education.  I believe every child should be respected and valued.  It is my goal to ensure that every child feels loved and cared for. I feel that teaching is my calling! I can honestly say there is nothing else in the world that I would rather do.

My husband, Clay, and I have been married for a little over a year. We do not have any children of our own but I consider all of the children I teach like my own. My husband and I both played sports for about 13 years. We love sports and spend a lot of time watching them (especially football, softball, and basketball). Other hobbies that I have are: fishing, running, reading, and doing any activity that I can outside.

Math has always been my favorite subject and my passion. I look forward to sharing that passion with my students!
